Newly released is «bfu–survey 2010 - Helmet wearing rates among cyclists in road traffic». The survey of bicycle– helmet use is carried out every year, in April and May, by suitably trained bfu personnel. At a total of 67 observation sites throughout Switzerland, details are recorded for some 7,500 cyclists. In addition to helmet use, purpose of the trip, and the region, details are also collected about the type of bicycle used, as well as the rider’s age and gender.
«bfu–survey 2010» is available in German, French, Italian and English.
